A big overarching narrative of our lives is do more, be more, have more. For me this lead to constant low-grade feelings of failure. These feelings compounded and grabbed my attention for so long I would feel anxious and even more unsatisfied. I had a mentor speak about failure and duality. We must redirect our thoughts from failure to curtail the circle of failure. To feel more joy, you have to have to capacity for more pain. To have the capacity for more greatness you have to have the capacity for greater failure. This really woke me up to feelings of gratitude for being able to handle what it is that I have on my plate. The idea of more on either side of the spectrum, I realized, was not for me, because I had what I what could handle in the moment, and that this moment is perfect and meant for me.
